Acupuncture and other healing modalities

Acupuncture
Acupuncture is a healing art that has been practiced for thousands of years.  It has proven to help people  by positively impacting physical and underlying systemic issues in body and mind.  As the body consists of different energy channels, stimulating specific acupuncture points on or near the surface of the skin on these channels can help trigger biochemical and physiological changes in the patient.  Having an acupuncture practioner who can understand where energy, or the body's "qi" (pronounced "chee") is blocked and where it flows is key.

Acupuncture needles can help facilitate the movement of this energy in these channels.  The needles are hair thin but very powerful.   They can loosen tight and painful muscles, boost organ function, decrease inflammation, remove blockages and stagnation, lift the spirit, improve circulation, digestion, absorption, hormone imbalances, neurological problems, and even increase T-cell count, supporting the immune system, and so much more.

Additional Healing Modalities

In addition to acupuncture, Dr. Charles Mullaly uses other modalities to help patients find healing and balance

Chaga mushroom

Chaga Mushrooms

Chaga - has a solid reputation as a  powerful defense and adaptogen against cancer and other serious health concerns, by supporting the immune system.  The Chaga mushroom is harvested from select birch trees and has been used as a powerful antioxidant for generations.  Recent research has shown Chaga to be extremely effective in protecting cellular DNA from free radicals, and anti-tumor and immune stimulating benefits.

Dr. Charles Mullaly harvests the Chaga mushroom himself deep in the Adirondack and Catskill mountains of New York, and makes it available to his patients for immune support.

Moxibustion

Moxibustion

Moxibustion  -  is a traditional  medicine therapy which consists of burning dried mugwort (artemisia vulgarism) on particular acupuncture points on the body. It plays an important role to get energy flowing and to warm the channels.

Cupping - involves the use of small cups to create a suction on the skin, stimulating the flow of blood, loosening tight muscles, balancing the flow of qi, breaking up obstructions, and creating an avenue for toxins to be drawn out of the body.

Ear Candling - is originally a native American treatment, involving the use of hollowed out natural wax candles to help with allergies, sinus pressure, headaches, hearing loss, vertigo, infections, and more.
